Administration

The St. Clair County Sheriff's Office Administrative 
Staff is comprised of several people who assist the
Sheriff with the daily operations of the office.

Chief Deputy Mike Crocker

Mike Crocker is a POST certified and commissioned deputy. He serves as the highest ranking officer related to law enforcement under the sheriff in St. Clair County. Crocker has 12 years of service with St Clair County Sheriff's Office and over 27 years total law enforcement experience.

Chief Deputy Crocker's duties include overseeing and supervising the daily operation of all patrol deputies, detectives, civil process, court security, and school resource officers. This includes all criminal investigations and complaints filed with the St. Clair County Sheriff's Office. He is also currently assigned as a member of the Mid-Missouri Drug Task Force which operates in eight area counties.


Major Sammy Bowden

Sammy Bowden is a POST certified and commissioned deputy. He serves as the administrator of jail operations. He has been in law enforcement since February 1993. He is a certified POST law enforcement instructor and has taught in several academies for the past 20 years.

The St. Clair County Jail currently houses federal inmates for the United States Marshall Service.  Major Bowden’s duties include maintaining an open line of communication with the United States Marshal Service on a day to day basis, maintaining the safety and security of the 139 bed facility and overseeing dispatchers and directing the day-to-day operation of the jail.


Administrative Assistant Peggy Sue Raymond

 

Peggy Sue Raymond is a notary public and the sheriff's personal assistant. Her responsibilities include maintaining employee files and personnel records, preparing civil process documents for service, balance and maintain sheriff's office bank accounts, and various other administrative duties.


Public Information Officer John Farrell

 

John Farrell has a variety of duties. He is responsible for responding to requests for information from the public, compiling press releases, proofreading reports, filing paperwork, updating and maintaining the sheriff's office website, issue of conceal carry weapons permits (CCW), and handling other matters as they are assigned.


Secretary Pam Roby

Pam Roby's responsibilities include preparing bills to be paid, reviewing payroll and financial reports, accounts receivable, answering incoming telephone calls, filing paperwork, ordering supplies and other duties associated with the office.
