St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office News Release for July 6-13, 2014

St. Clair County Sheriff Scott Keeler said deputies made several arrests and took reports of burglary and stealing during the week of July 6-13.

Burglary reported on TT Highway

On July 12, a St. Clair County deputy responded to a burglary complaint on SE TT Highway. Randall Haynes reported a leather briefcase containing cash, checkbooks and paperwork missing from his office. A suspect was named and the investigation is ongoing.

Stealing report taken in Collins

On July 12, a St. Clair County deputy took a stealing complaint on Main Street in Collins. Betty Owens reported a chainsaw and gas can is missing from her residence. Owens also reported damage to a screen on a window. The value of the chainsaw and the damage was estimated at $300. The investigation is ongoing.

Parmalee facing felony drug charge

Michael Parmalee

On July 9, Michael Parmalee, 34, Osceola, was arrested on a felony drug charge following a narcotics investigation in Lowry City. Information was obtained regarding alleged drug activity occurring at a residence. During the investigation, St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office deputies and officers from the Mid Missouri Multi Jurisdiction Drug Task Force found Parmalee to be in possession of a glass pipe containing a white powder that field tested positive for methamphetamine. On July 10, a formal charge was filed and an arrest warrant was issued charging Parmalee with a class C felony of possessing a controlled substance. Bond is set at $10,000 cash or surety.

Lowell Myers

On July 12, Lowell Myers, 45, El Dorado Springs, was arrested on a traffic stop in Bates County for multiple St. Clair County misdemeanor warrants. Custody of Myers was transferred to a St. Clair County deputy and Myers was booked into the St. Clair County Jail for failing to appear in court for speeding, expired plates, vehicle license, and operating a vehicle without maintaining financial responsibility. Total bond was set at $551.50 cash only and Myers was given a court date of Aug. 08.

Charlotte Hertlein

 

On July 10, Charlotte Hertlein, 27, Lowry City, was arrested in St. Clair County on a warrant for failing to appear in court on three St. Clair County misdemeanor charges of passing a bad checks-less than $500. The charges stem from incidents in June 2008. Bond was set at $500 cash only.

Griff Golden

 

On July 9, Griff Golden, 39, Lowry City, was arrested in St. Clair County on a felony no bond warrant for parole violation.

Vanessa Barker

 

On July 9, Vanessa Barker, 33, Lowry City, was arrested in St. Clair County on an outstanding warrant out of Linn County for misdemeanor property damage-second degree. Bond is set at $1,000 cash or surety and a court date of Aug. 7 was given.

 

On July 9, Jeremy Noble, 30, was arrested in St. Clair County on a warrant from Henry County charging him with a probation violation on a second degree assault charge. Bond is set at $2,500 cash only. No court date was given.

Juan Gonzales Jr.

 

On July 9, Juan Gonzales Jr., 38, Kansas City, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant for charging him with class C felony non support. Bond is set at $500 cash only. The warrant was issued on June 2.

 

On July 6, Carolyn Hooker, 53, Appleton City, was arrested in St. Clair County on a Bates County warrant charging her with class C felony stealing. Bond is set at $10,000 cash or surety.

On July 7, Robert Foster, 32, Osceola, was arrested in St. Clair County on a warrant for failing to appear in court on a class C felony charge of stealing. Bond is set at $10,000 cash or surety. The charge stems from an incident on April 15 when a St. Clair County deputy was dispatched to property on SE V Highway in reference to a stealing. Jack Foster reported an individual in a Dodge Dakota truck pulling a small trailer was seen stealing scrap from his property. Evidence was located at the scene and the investigation discovered the suspect vehicle was located at Meredith Recycling, Montrose. Contact was made with the Henry County Sheriff’s Office and a deputy was dispatched to the location to stop and hold the vehicle. The vehicle was stopped and contact was made with two male subjects in the vehicle. Items were recovered, identified and released to Jack Foster.

Felony arrest warrant issued for Groves

Howard Groves Jr.

On July 8, a felony arrest warrant was issued for Howard Groves Jr., 30, Lowry City, charging him with a probation violation from on a class B felony drug charge from May 2005. Bond is set at $100,000 cash or surety.
