St. Clair County Sheriff's Office News Release for Aug. 11-17, 2014

    St. Clair County Sheriff Office deputies were busy with a variety of calls during the week of Aug. 11-17. Sheriff Scott Keeler said deputies arrested several minors following a large party, took four reports in reference to theft/stealing, took a report of property damage, and made several warrant arrests throughout the week..

Several minors arrested following large party

     In the early morning hours of Aug. 16, several deputies from the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office responded to a large party on SE 550 Road, Collins. Approximately 250 people were located in an open field. Six juveniles ranging from 15-17 years old and 28 adults ranging in age from 18-20 years old were taken into custody for being in possession of alcohol during the incident. Formal charges are pending and the investigation is ongoing.

Theft/stealing reports

    On Aug. 15, a St. Clair County deputy took a report of a stolen trailer on Old Highway 13, Osceola. John and Martha Frasier reported a 2010 C&C flatbed trailer missing from their residence. The investigation is ongoing.

    On Aug. 11, a St. Clair County deputy took a report from Alfred Trautweiler, Osceola, regarding a Stihl chainsaw and two gas cans missing from his workshop. The total value of the items was estimated at $550.

    On Aug. 11, 2014, a St. Clair County deputy took a theft report on NE 1248 Private Road, Osceola. Shelly Wells reported numerous pieces of property were taken from the inside and outside of her residence. Items included numerous pots and pans, dinner plates, a bag of blankets, a bag of towels, a bag of wash cloths, twin mattress with box springs, a weather radio, several DVDs, a tarp for a swimming pool, and a spare tire from the trunk of her vehicle. Wells also reported an unknown amount of meat belonging to her was taken from a neighbor’s freezer. The investigation is continuing.

    On Aug. 8, a St. Clair County deputy took a report from Brenda Dosier regarding a Stihl chainsaw stolen from her approximately two years ago. She stated the reason for reporting the incident was because she received information regarding who is responsible. Two suspects were named and the investigation is ongoing.

Property damage

    On Aug. 10, a St. Clair County deputy took a report of property damage on NW 151 Road, Deepwater.  Joe Edger reported someone drove a motor vehicle through his yard causing damage to his lawn. He also said his mail box was shot with an unknown type of firearm. Three holes were found on the mail box with entry and exit holes. Damage was estimated at $100.

    Gary Waggoner, a neighbor on NW 1270 Road, reported his mailbox was also shot. He stated  around 11:30 p.m. he heard a gunshot outside and then heard a vehicle speed off. A hole was also found in Waggoner’s mailbox. Damage was estimated at $50. The investigation is ongoing.

Warrant arrests

John Gregory

    On Aug. 15, John Gregory, 42, Blue Springs, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant for a class A misdemeanor charge of passing a bad check. Bond is set at $350 cash only. The charge stems from an incident in July 2011. 

Natasha Enochs

   

    On Aug. 14, Natasha Enochs, 31, Appleton City, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant for failing to appear in court on a misdemeanor charge of stealing motor fuel. The charge stems from an incident in Sept. 2013. Bond is set at $1,000 cash or surety and a court date of Sept. 19 was issued.

     On Aug 14, Gerald Johnson, 50, Collins, was arrested on a Humansville Police Department for failing to register a motor vehicle. Bond was set at $ 69 cash only and a court date of Sept. 18 was given.

Paul Ross

    On Aug. 11, Paul Ross, 48, Osceola, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with six counts of stalking, a class A misdemeanor. Bond was set at $12,000 cash only and a court date of Aug. 26 was issued. The charges stem from an investigation that started on Aug. 4 when a St. Clair County deputy responded to Roscoe in reference to a complaint from a 16 year-old female juvenile of a man following her from Casey’s gas station in Osceola.   The juvenile stated the man, later identified as, Ross, allegedly approached her while she was getting gas and made conversation about her vehicle. The juvenile advised Ross made her very uncomfortable.  Ross then allegedly made comments about the juvenile being “cute.”  The juvenile immediately left the gas station.  Ross allegedly followed the juvenile approximately 12 miles.  After losing Ross, the juvenile went to a family member’s home and called the sheriff’s office. During the investigation, it was learned five additional young female victims were approached and followed by Ross.

 Quan Tran

On Aug. 11, Quan Tran, 41, Kansas City, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant for failing to appear on misdemeanor charges of driving while revoked, speeding, and no insurance. Tran also was arrested on a Wright County warrant for misdemeanor speeding. Total bond was set at $1,160 cash and a court date of Sept. 5, was given.
