St. Clair County Sheriff's Office News Release for Sept. 29-Oct. 5, 2014

     St. Clair County Sheriff Scott Keeler said deputies made several warrant arrests, took three reports of stealing and a report of two missing cows during the week of Sept. 29-Oct. 5.

Warrant arrests

 DJ Gideon

    On Oct. 3, DJ Gideon, 23, Republic, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with a class C felony of stealing a motor vehicle. The charge stems from an investigation regarding a 1991 Chevrolet Blazer that was sold by Courtney Dixon and David McCollum, Shell City. Gideon allegedly purchased the vehicle and paid with a fraudulent check.


Julia Mitchell

     On Oct. 3, Julia Mitchell, 53, Collins, was arrested in St. Clair County on a Cass County warrant charging her with felony possession of a controlled substance. The warrant was issued on Sept. 12 and bond is set at $7,500 cash or surety.


Pamela Williams

     On Oct. 2, Pamela Williams, 24, Osceola, was arrested on two St. Clair County warrants for failing to appear in court on charges from the Osceola Police Department, defective equipment and driving while revoked. The charges stem from an incident in April and the warrants were issued Sept. 17. Total bond was set at $245.50 cash only.

Joshua Foley

     

     On Oct. 1, Joshua Foley, 31, Montrose, was arrested in St. Clair County on a Bates County felony warrant for failing to appear in court on a class C felony charge of unlawful possession of a firearm and a class D felony charge of unlawful use of a weapon. Foley also was arrested on two outstanding misdemeanor warrants from Henry County for a probation violation and driving while revoked. Total bond was set at $22,000 cash or surety.


Justin Basinger

      On Oct. 1, Justin Basinger, 44, Harwood, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with a class B felony of driving while intoxicated-alcohol-chronic offender. Bond is set at $10,000 cash or surety. The charge stems from an incident on June 20 with the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The warrant was issued on Sept. 19.

John Chiles Jr.

   

      On Oct. 1, John Chiles Jr., 38, Deepwater, was arrested in St. Clair County on two outstanding warrants, a Clinton Police Department warrant for failing to appear in court on a driving while suspended charge and a Garden City Police Department warrant for failure to appear in court on charges of driving under the influence, fleeing and speeding. Total bond was set at $500 cash or surety and $50 cash only. Chiles was arrested following a traffic stop by a St. Clair County deputy.


Robbie King

      On Oct. 1, Robbie King, 46, Nixa, was arrested in St. Clair County on three outstanding misdemeanor warrants from Christian County. The warrants were for failing to appear in court on charges of driving under the influence-drugs, no insurance, and a traffic offense. Total bond was set at $3,500 cash only.

Terry Lesmeister

   

      On Sept. 30, Terry Lesmeister, 22, El Dorado Springs, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant for failing to appear in court on a class B felony charge of burglary in the first degree, class C felony charge of stealing, and a class D felony charge of property damage. Bond is set at $10,000 cash or surety. The charges stem from a burglary that occurred at Dains Fish Farm on Highway H, Schell City, on April 12. Ammunition, cash from the register, several rolls of change, and a computer with monitor for the surveillance system was stolen from the store. Damage was reported to the front and rear doors and the total damage and loss was estimated at $5,240.

Reports

     On Oct. 2, a St. Clair County deputy took a report of medication being stolen on SW Deepwater Street, Roscoe. Brian Crawford reported nine Fentanyl patches and 80 Hydrocodone were stolen from his home. The investigation is ongoing.
     On Oct. 1, a St. Clair County deputy took a stealing report from Dennis Bock, Appleton City. Bock reported a 12 volt battery and electric fence charger missing from his property on NW 1150 Road near Highway F. The total value of the items was estimated at $220. A request for prosecution was signed and the investigation is ongoing.
     On Oct. 1, a St. Clair County deputy took a stealing report on NW Highway A. Jack Knight reported a blower motor off of his grain bin was stolen. The investigation is ongoing.
     On Sept. 30, a St. Clair County deputy took a report from Gilbert Watson in reference to missing cows. Watson reported two cows missing from a field near the intersection SE 601 Road and SE 476 Road, Collins. Watson explained he is the owner one of the cows and he looks after the other cow for another individual. The value of the cows was estimated between $3,000 and $3,500 each.
