St. Clair County Sheriff's Office News Release for Nov. 10-17, 2014

Deputies from the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office took a variety of calls for service from Nov. 10-17.  Sheriff Scott Keeler said deputies made four warrant arrests and took reports of assault, burglary, vandalism and stealing.

Assault report

On Nov. 16, a St. Clair County deputy took a report from Clinton Wombles regarding an alleged assault. Wombles stated he was at his property on Old Highway 13, Collins, and an individual came at him with an ax handle and swung it at him twice. A suspect was named and a request for prosecution was signed. The investigation is ongoing.

Items reported stolen from storage units

On Nov. 16, a St. Clair County deputy took a report from Amy and Tom Dwyer in reference to items stolen from a storage unit on NE Highway C, Iconium. The Dwyer’s reported  a lock was cut on the unit and two dive bags full of dive equipment, extension cords, table saw, slide saw, air compressor, two nail guns, two routers, three sanders, and various toys were missing from the unit. The estimated value of the items totaled $3,075. The investigation is ongoing.

On Nov. 15, a St. Clair County deputy took a burglary report at the storage units in Iconium. Donna Tyler reported a container with .22 cal, 9mm and shotgun shells was stolen from a storage unit. She also reported a box containing 100 cds was taken. The value of the items was estimated at $1,000. The investigation is ongoing.

Vandalism complaint

On Nov. 15, a St. Clair County deputy took a vandalism complaint on First Street, Lowry City. Keyowna Stewart reported her 2001 Ford Taurus was vandalized with eggs. Evidence was located and collected and a suspect was named. A request for prosecution was signed and the investigation is ongoing.

Burglary report

On Nov. 12, a St. Clair County deputy took a burglary report on NE 601 Road, Osceola. Marc Guerin reported a nickel plated .357 magnum snub nose Smith and Wesson revolver missing from his residence. The value was estimated at $500. The investigation is ongoing.

Stealing report

On Nov. 12, a St. Clair County deputy took a stealing report on NE 601 Road, Osceola. Charles Fergerson reported three air compressors, two cordless drills with extra batteries and chargers, a cordless saw with extra battery and charger, and one hog drill were stolen from a home. The total value of the tools was estimated at $1,850. The investigation is ongoing.

Report of stolen vehicle

On Nov. 11, a St. Clair County deputy took a report of a stolen vehicle on NE 50 Road, Osceola. Elton Tillotson reported a white 2002 Ford Excursion was stolen from his residence. Tillitson stated numerous work tools, a wallet and a deer rifle were in the vehicle. The vehicle was later recovered by the Warsaw Police Department. The tools, wallet and the deer rifle were recovered with the vehicle.

Stolen vehicle recovered

On Nov. 11, a St. Clair County deputy responded to a call of a vehicle blocking a gate on SE 1131 Road north of TT Highway. A check of the silver 1999 Pontiac Grand Am came back that it was stolen out of Branson. The vehicle was processed and the investigation is ongoing.

Golf cart stolen on PP Highway

On Nov 10, a St. Clair County deputy took a report of a stolen golf cart. Larry Stevenson reported a 1993 E-Z Go golf cart was stolen from his barn on PP Highway. Stevenson said the golf cart was equipped with a lift kit and off road tires. The investigation is ongoing.

Warrant arrests

Darren Troxel

On Nov. 14, Darren Troxel, 47, El Dorado Springs, was arrested on a St. Clair County probation revocation warrant for a class A misdemeanor of non support. Bond is set at $500 cash only.

Donald L. Wells Jr.

On Nov. 13, Donald L. Wells Jr., 40, Osceola, was arrested on a no bond warrant from Kansas for a parole violation. Wells was located in a residence on NW 100 Road, Osceola.

On Nov. 10, Breshia Grosso, 22, Webb City, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant for failing to appear in court on a class C felony charge of possessing of a controlled substance. The warrant was issued on Nov. 4 and stems from an incident on Aug. 31, 2013 when marijuana and psilocybin mushrooms were found in a backpack allegedly belonging to Grosso. Bond is set at $2,500 cash only.

Darryl Richardson

On Nov. 10, Darryl Richardson, 51, Hallsville, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with a class D felony of non support with total arrears in excess of 12 monthly payments due under order of support. Bond is set at $500 cash only.
