St. Clair County Sheriff's Office News Release for Nov. 17-24, 2014

     Sheriff Scott Keeler said deputies took a report of trespass and made several warrant arrests from Nov. 17-24.

Trespassing report

     On Nov. 18, a St. Clair County deputy took a trespassing report on SW Highway Y, Schell City. Donald Guffey reported a four wheeler trespassed on his property. Several tracks were located.

Felony warrant issued

Justin Basinger

     A St. Clair County felony warrant was issued for Justin Basinger, 44, Harwood, for failing to appear in court on class B felony charge of driving while intoxicated-alcohol chronic offender. The warrant was issued on Nov. 14 and the charge stems from an incident on June 20 with the Missouri State Highway Patrol. Bond is set at $10,000 cash or surety.

Warrant arrests

Patrick Shook

     On Nov. 23, Patrick Shook, 56, Osceola, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with class D felony of fail to register as a sex offender. The charge stems from an incident in July. The warrant was issued in August. Shook was taken into custody in the Ouachita Parish, Louisiana, and extradited back to St. Clair County.  Bond was set at $5,000 cash or surety and a court date of Dec. 19 was issued.

Micky Kottwitz

     On Nov. 22, Micky Kottwitz, 39, Osceola, was arrested following a traffic stop in Osceola. Kottwitz was arrested on a Boone County warrant charging him with a class A misdemeanor of harassing communication. The charge stems from an incident in August. The warrant was issued in September. Bond was set at $1,500 cash or surety. A court date of Dec. 17 was issued.

 
James Taylor

     On Nov. 21, James Taylor, 50, Lowry City, was arrested in Lowry City on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with failing to appear in court on a citation for no seat belt. The original charge stems from an incident with the Missouri State Highway Patrol in September. The warrant was issued on Nov. 12. Bond was set at $10 cash only and a court date of Dec. 19 was issued.

William Hunt

     On Nov. 21, William Hunt, 42, Fair Play, was arrested following a traffic stop in St. Clair County. Hunt was arrested on a Cedar County warrant for failure to appear in court on a class felony charge of passing a bad check-$500 or more no account, insufficient funds. The original charge stems from an incident in January. The warrant was issued on Nov. 20. Bond is set at $5,000 cash or surety.

Ronald Gannaway Jr.

     On Nov. 21, during the same traffic stop, Ronald Gannaway Jr., 39, Bolivar, was arrested on a Humansville Police Department warrant for drug paraphernalia. The warrant was issued in September. Bond is set at $100 cash only.

Gerald Johnson

     On Nov. 19, Gerald Johnson, 50, Collins, was arrested on St. Clair County warrant for failing to appear in court on a misdemeanor charge of operating a vehicle with no insurance. The warrant was issued on Sept. 24 and stems from an incident on July 2 with the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP). Bond is set at $191.50 cash only. Johnson was also arrested on Cedar County warrant for failing to appear in court on a misdemeanor charge of failing to register a motor vehicle. The warrant was issued on Aug. 21 and stems from an incident on March 3 with the MSHP. Bond is set at $100 cash only.

Mike Gilbert

On Nov. 19, Mike Gilbert, 31, El Dorado Springs, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant for failing to appear in court on a class A misdemeanor charge of harassing communication. The charge stems from an incident in February 2012. A warrant was issued in March 2012. Bond is set at $1,000 cash or surety.
