St. Clair County Sheriff's Office News Release for Dec. 15-21, 2014

     St. Clair County Sheriff Scott Keeler said deputies made eight arrests and took a report of property damage during the week of Dec. 15-21.

Collins man arrested for three felony sex crimes

     On Dec. 19, Anthony Cooper, 26, Collins, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with three felony sex crimes. Cooper is charged with an unclassified felony of forcible rape - sexual intercourse by forcible compulsion, an unclassified felony forcible sodomy - deviate sexual intercourse by forcible compulsion, and a class B felony charge of child molestation in the first degree. The charges stem from alleged incidents that occurred between October 2008 and February 2014. The warrant was issued on Dec. 17. Bond is set at $75,000 cash only. The Missouri State Technical Assistance Team assisted the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office with the investigation. Cooper’s arrest came after a brief foot chase when he attempted to flee through a back door of a residence on SE 551 Road, Collins. Formal charges of resisting arrest are also pending.

Warrants issued

     On Dec. 17, a St. Clair County arrest warrant was issued for Mark Huntsman, 39, Louisburg, for a class D felony charge of non-support, total arrears in excess of 12 monthly payments due under order of support. Bond is set at $500 cash only.

     On Dec. 17, a St. Clair County arrest warrant was issued for Jennifer Reynolds, 48, El Dorado Springs, for a class C felony charge of possessing a controlled substance. The charge stems from an incident on Dec. 12. Bond is set at $10,000 cash or surety.

Warrant arrests

     On Dec. 16, Terry Sieleman, 36, Appleton City, was arrested in Appleton City on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with a class C felony of possessing a controlled substance. The charge stems from an incident in October 2013 with the Appleton City Police Department. The warrant was issued on Dec. 12. Bond is set at $10,000 cash or surety.

     On Dec. 16, Shauna Kennicutt, 40, Osceola, was arrested in Osceola on a Hickory County probation and parole warrant on an original felony charge of possessing a controlled substance. The warrant was issued on Dec. 5. Bond is set at $60,000 cash or surety.

     On Dec. 16, Sandra Marconi, 44, Collins, was arrested on a St. Clair County probation violation warrant on an original felony charge of driving under the influence of liquor. The warrant was issued on Dec. 11. Bond is set at $2,500 cash or surety.

Two arrested after traffic stop

     On Dec. 15, Melissa Collins, 31, Osceola, and Courtney Hopkins, 31, Clinton, were taken into custody after a traffic stop in Lowry City. During the investigation, St. Clair County deputies located drug paraphernalia and other drug related items. Several items were seized and sent to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Crime Lab, Springfield, for testing. Collins and Hopkins were released pending formal charges.

Property damage in Lowry City

      On Dec. 15, a St. Clair County deputy took a property damage complaint on East 7th Street, Lowry City. Chris Hawes reported a pole in his front yard holding his satellite dish was damaged. Tire tracks were located in the road and in the ditch in front of his house. Total damage was estimated at $100. A request for prosecution was signed and the investigation is ongoing.
