On June 19, 2017 Chavarria was arrested on a warrant for probation violation. The warrant was issued on June 7, 2017.
July 5, 2017-Probation revocation hearing held. Probation revoked. Chavarria was sentenced to serve nine months in St. Clair County Jail with credit for time served.

The charge stems from an incident on May 7 when a St. Clair County deputy was dispatched to a residence on NE WW Highway, Osceola, in reference to a domestic disturbance. During the investigation it was found Chavarria allegedly struck a male victim with an object causing him physical injury.
