Additional Information
The charges stem from a St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office investigation on July 16, 2017 when a citizen reported a suspicious person sleeping in a car next to a building off the Osceola Square. A check of the vehicle, a gold 1997 Ford Taurus, was confirmed stolen out of Springfield. Contact was made and the occupant of the stolen vehicle was identified as LaRue, a homeless male from Springfield. LaRue initially claimed another individual drove him there and he slept in the back seat after the person left. Several items belonging to LaRue were removed from the vehicle. He was taken into custody pending the formal charge. |
